Grown in Grey 2015!
Grown in Grey is an agricultural based educational event that is held away from the classroom. The usual venue is an arena. This allows the accomodation of a large number of children and different learning "stations". The objective of Grown in Grey is to further educate children, specifically those in grades four and five, about what is happening in agriculture and related industries in our region. Grown in Grey is run by a group of core volunteers and is a not for profit organization. This event is made possible by the co-operation of a large number of organizations, commodity groups, farmers, educators and individuals interested in the many facets of agriculture.
Over the past 16 years we have had over 7,500 Grey County students visit our event and each of them came away with a better understanding of agriculture and how it is part of the fabric of Grey County.
In 2015 Grown in Grey will be held at the Chatsworth Community Center on April 14th and 15th and Agronomy Advantage's Steph Kowalski will be there educating children on GPS and its applications in Agriculture.
